Growing up in West Philadelphia, I observed a community striving to make a splash in sports, entertainment, or academia. Everyone had a basement or backyard where they practiced making new music before presenting their talents to a hungry audience waiting to determine who was the best. Every Friday night was arts and entertainment night at our house, and you had to show your abilities to family and friends after dinner. I always remembered the ideology and even now approach each project, song, or video with the attitude that someone is always observing my work.
